The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area every day. The service place designed for intervention experiences a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost usage status sassa of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
